let me set the scene, so tonight's the night, myself and Becca are due to mob the cold and moistened streets of Cardiff to shoot her inexplicably clean Nissan 350z before the car goes into hibernation from the winter cold.
accompanied by her partner matt in his trusty Passat daily, we set off into the night with no real concrete plan of attack, just play with the city and see what gets spat out the other side.
initially, without a grand plan as I mentioned, we started the night off driving to any spots that we could think of with an abundance of lighting to help us lock in that concrete jungle aesthetic,
Cardiff is no Tokyo, not even close, so spots with lots of light and striking buildings are a little hard to come by.
so we did pretty much what anyone in Wales does, and set sail for Cardiff bay to kick things off, knowing that we would also get a chance to crack off some rollers in the tunnel on route.
first spot... the atredius building inside Cardiff bay barrage, sadly as expected all the prime spots were already occupied by the local rude boys, keen to get some laughing gas into themselves and kick a stink of Mary into the night sky.
I got to it and reeled off a few shots anyways and just as we were about to leave this spot we were blessed by an older gent who was keen to talk about how nice the car was. I'm in no way talking about this as a negative, it's great when people show love, and from an unexpected source too. truth be told I was fully expecting him to enlighten us with stories of how the cars in his era were better for x y and z.
but I was rightly reminded not to judge a book by its cover.
Mourning the loss of the opportunity to shoot the car down near the water, we headed for a spot i'd previously used as a winter skate spot.
I had this multi storey in reserve for a car shoot one day and there was no time like the present.
after becca had skilfully navigated all the tight corners up to the upper levels, and to my relief with not a blemish made to those pristine work meister sp1's, we got the car in place yet again and got to it.
while I was shooting the car on the uppermost level that we could reach, I couldn't help but long for the very upper level, knowing that the top of the building was open air with the city lights close by.
as if a prayer that was being answered, one of the parking attendants appeared from nowhere to once again praise the car and it's god tier cleanliness.
it turned out that this chap was a member of a local car club and super jazzed on seeing becca's 350 in the metal.
recognising this as my chance to get my first car shoot on the roof, I shot my shot... fully expecting to be denied. I mean the saying goes, you regret 100% of the shots you don't shoot right?
but as you can see, our new friend was more than happy to oblige us... with the only stipulation being that we return the barriers back in place before we leave. no problem my guy, absolutely no problem.
I never did catch your name, but if you're reading this, i owe you a  pint and a crisp hive five.
so with no lighting equipment onboard, and the roof being darker than i'd expected, I  got at it, doing the best that I could.
and the view across to the city centre and millennium stadium made for a great backdrop I'm sure you'll agree.
with our luck most likely all  spent at this point, we decided to hit the pavement and retire for the evening.

As for becca's 350.... it's currently undergoing some more paint work to make it even more ludicrously clean... so keep eyes peeled for its triumphant return to the streets of Cardiff.
